Wicket's Life With Me

Wicket's Life with Me is a collection of ultra-short stories chronicling my imaginary adventures with Wicket the Ewok and my other stuffed animals. I wrote them during creative writing class in thrid grade (1983-1984).

For those who don't know, Wicket was the primary Ewok in Lucas's Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. In the marketing blitz that was the original Star Wars trilogy, the Ewoks made for wonderful stuffed animals. My younger brother and I each got one full size and one baby plush Ewok to add to our bountiful stuffed animal collections.

At some point during my third grade creative writing class, I wrote a one-handwritten-page story using my stuffed Wicket as the main character. As the year progressed, my teacher allowed me to continue to write in that fan-fic fantasy world. I gladly took that opportunity, and expanded it to include other plush toys as characters. The result is now posted here.

Also, my best friend drew some illustrations to go with my stories. If I can ever find my original Wicket book--the original handwritten pages, which also include the pictures, are currently misplaced; the version here is a retype of a typed version I made during junior high--I'll scan in the pictures and add them to the site. I have kept the spelling (and hence, some misuse of words) the same as in the typed copy. I hope that they accurately reflect what I wrote in third grade (probably), and not my junior-high "editorial" skills. :-)

Without any further ado, let's go read Wicket's Life With Me...
